How to make your own toilet paper shield

I've been really busy this couple of weeks and this is the only papercraft I have made. My father's 2 cats are currently living with us and they're always trying to destroy the toilet papers. I hastily made this about 2 weeks ago and realized I can't just give the template because the measurements may differ. And today I've finished making the tutorial on how to make your own toilet paper shields! Yey! If your toilet paper holder might have a different design, you might need to make some adjustments to the shield design.

The trouble makers! Mat(left) and Kim(right)

The picture below shows what the shield should look like with this type of toilet paper holder. As you can see, the cats had an opportunity to shred the toilet paper while I was making the shield. You can see the tutorial after the cut.

If you think my works are worth something, you may donate to PAWS using Paypal. PAWS is one of 3 non-government organizations I know in the Philippines that rescues animals from cruelty and neglect. Aside from taking care of animals in their animal shelter, they are also volunteering in caring for animals in flooded towns caused by typhoons. They have a one time gift option at the bottom of the online donation page. Happy Holidays!!!

Pokemon Building #2

I bring you the Pokemon Center papercraft! Assembly is similar to the pokemon mart.

Yesterday I was browsing some Pokemon Diamond screen shots and realized that the PC and PM only have the gray posts at the front of the building. I didn't want to remove the posts around the building so it won't look boring at the back.

I really should have made papercraft buildings of games I actually played. Like Harvest Moon... hmmm... not a bad idea.

Pokemon Building #1

It's a pokemon building papercraft! I might do the others if I have time. Lots of pictures after the cut.

I'm not quite sure if this is what it's supposed to look like but it's the best I could do after staring at the 2D sprites from the game.

Kitty Cats!

Here are the cats to go along with your Yasmine papercraft! A little harder than usual because it's cylindrical and both ends are to be closed. For easier assembly, use a glue with a faster drying time than Elmer's glue.

I just re-textured the papercraft cat from here. Also changed the feet to so that both sides will have color on it. You can rescale it using Foxit pdf reader to make it smaller.

Really confusing Assembly Instructions: Cut the template. Fold and glue the ears, tail and feet. Pre-curl (is that even a word?) the body by running it along a side of the table so it will curve easily. Insert the feet through the slits at the bottom of the body. Glue the body to form a elliptical cylinder. Close the model by gluing the face and the butt to the body.

Yasmine (catvshuman) Papercraft

I love Yasmine's comics! I check every morning if she made a new one. :)
Visit her at catversushuman!

Here's a Yasmine papercraft. I used the Felpurr Class of Heroes papercraft as a template.

Instruction: First print the front pdf file then print the back pdf at the back of your paper (this is so that the hair will have color on both sides). Form the head, hair, body an feet. Attach the arms at the top of the body. Attach head to the hair. Attach legs to the body and try to make it stand to see if it's not wobbly. Adjust until you get it right and let the glue dry. Attach the head to the body. Start at the center of the bottom of the head and adjust the position of the body until it won't topple over.

Porcupine Pen Holder

Here is a porcupine pen holder papercraft I made. Actually there's no porcupines in my country so it might not actually look like a real one.

I made this using 200gsm paper and I glued black construction paper at the back so that the inside of the porcupine will be black. It won't close properly because of the thickness. Maybe a 100gsm paper would do if you're going to do it this way.

Note: Attach (1) and (2) first to (3) then close at the bottom.

Template and more pictures after the cut.

Patapon logo

Here is the Patapon logo as a papercraft! Patapon is a rhythm game for the PSP.

It was really challenging to design the eye part. I tweaked and printed it again and again until it was just right. If anyone has a better method other than the one I did, please do tell me how. I have now massive respect to all the paper modelers out there!

I made this by printing a blank template in 200gsm paper and painted it black. Printed out the eye portion and glued it to the body.

Colored Robot

Here's the colored version of one of my previous posts, Blank Robot. The design is pretty much the same as the one I drew by hand.

Mini Witch's Hat

To celebrate Halloween, I made a mini witch's hat for my cats. I also took pictures of our neighbor's cats with the hat. 3 out of 5 cats tried to destroy it. So I'm really happy about the quality of the papercraft.

I made it by printing the template in white paper (200 gsm). Assembled it then painted it black using acrylic paint. I added ribbons so I can tie it around their head.

More cat pictures and template after the cut.

Blank robot

I suddenly had the urge to make a robot 2 days ago but I didn't want to stay in front of the computer for hours to render it. So I just made a simple robot and drew on it by hand. I'll post a colored template when I have more time.
Here it is:

PVZ Sun-shroom

I'm planning to do all the shrooms from PVZ. So, here is the first one, Sun-shroom!
Hmmm... I'm still learning how to model in 3d and I still don't know how to render my models properly. Don't worry the parts file is fully rendered.

First papermodel - Pumpkin

Hi! I've been papercrafting for a few months now and now I want to try to model one.
Here's my first attempt! A very easy pumpkin for Halloween!

Just print the parts and start cutting and folding. :)
